Gift Guide: Great Gifts for Boys
Holiday Gifts: Toys for Girls
There are so many adorable gifts for girls out right now! I have rounded up some of my daughters’ (ages 4 & 6) favorites to pass on!
Kids Anywhere Chair
This chair has probably been the most-used item in my house for years by both of my children. If there is one kids item that has been worth the money, it would be our Anywhere Chairs from Pottery Barn Kids.
Not only are they adorable, comfortable and come in lots of different colors and fabrics, but they give kids their own little spot to hang out that is just for them. My girls absolutely love having their own chairs and I love seeing them sit and relax in them.
Our Anywhere Chairs have been around for years and honestly, they hold up very well! I have had Micaela’s for about 5 years now. She has the cream color faux fur and it is still in good condition even though she uses it EVERY DAY. It is easy to disassemble and wash, which I really like. Also, if you ever want to change the color or the cover just becomes a bit dirty, you can keep the “insides” of the chair and only purchase a new cover, which is less than purchasing a whole new chair.
This item will definitely be on my Kid’s Gift Guide this year but it is such a great item I wanted to share it now too! Love it and I really like some of the new adorable animal chairs!
Cool Kids Vests & Outerwear
When it comes to outerwear for my kids, besides cuteness, I always think about comfort and washability! Sometimes outerwear can be nice but needs to be dry-cleaned etc and with the amount of times I clean my kids’ coats throughout the winter, my dry cleaning bill would be through the roof!
Last year I found a great company called Merrimane and their outwear for kids checks all of my boxes: their jackets and vests are comfortable, washable and oh so adorable!! WIN! Many of the jackets are made of a super-soft velour fleece that moves with your child. The best part is that everything can go right into the washing machine if it gets a little dirty at the park or playing outside. You will be so happy knowing your children are warm, comfy and you don’t have to worry about them getting a little dirty!
Kids Snow Boots
My kids and I just love these winter snow boots from Lands’ End. This is the second pair of this particular style for both of my kids. They are water and snow-proof, comfortable and easy for the kids to get off and on themselves with thick velcro on both sides of the boot. This was important to me so that they would be able to take them off themselves in school each morning.
They come in a variety of colors including this pretty purple-pink ombre that both my girls are loving! My daughters say they are very warm and comfortable and they wore them most of the cold days last year (even chose to wear these instead of their Ugg boots most days!)
Right now, they are on major sale and they are discounted at almost 50% off the original price! So it is a great time to grab them while you still can!!
Comfy Face Masks
So we have been trying lots of different face masks and we have found a few that we absolutely love!!
First on our list are the masks by Joah Love. These are the ones my kids wear everyday. They are super soft, very comfortable and they can easily be adjusted by pulling the little strap around the ears. My kids love that they can put these on and adjust them themselves. Also, since they are in school and have to wear the masks all day, these are the only ones they will wear all day long without complaining. They really do love these. I recently purchased the infinity strap model and this is perfect since the longer strap allows for mask breaks while the mask hangs down around the neck and doesn’t get lost or dirty.
I also bought this mask from Joah Love for myself and it is really the only one I wear! Super comfy and I love the tie dye.
I also bought a box of the throw away kids masks to keep in the car and in my bag in case we forget them or in case we need an extra. These are also very lightweight so my girls tend to use these for soccer practice while running on and off the field.
Lastly, Nordstrom is offering lots of 4-pack sets of masks in the $20 range that are great if you need a few on hand that look pretty comfy. The one I got my husband from Nordstrom is by Outdoor Research and it has been his go-to mask for work. It is a larger size to fit his face well, the ear straps are adjustable, there is room for a filter and it is comfortable.

Amazon Fire Tablet for Kids
I do not let me kids get much screen time, but when they do I hated handing over my expensive iPad. This tablet by Amazon is perfect for kids! My kids love it and so do I as a parent. First off, its pretty much kid-proof. It comes in (or you can buy) a thick protective case which protects against drops or any other kiddo accidents. Secondly, it is covered by Amazon’s guarantee program, so if your child breaks it, Amazon will replace it for you. Another thing I really like is that it is fully parental-controlled. I went into each tablet and took off whatever I did not want my children to play or do… such as I turned off internet connection and some games I thought may have been too old for them. Then you can add then back on later. It has all the bells and whistles an iPad has, including apps, games, movies, tv and books! Just much more kid-friendly!
