My Beach Day Essentials

Life’s a Beach.

Sure it is, when you can grab a magazine, towel and hit the sand. But when you have a family in tow, it’s not as easy as just grabbing your beach bag to go. You need to have a plan and the right gear with you or else you can end up with some pretty unpleasant kiddos (and parents!)

I basically learned this the hard way. I remember the first time we headed to the beach with Micaela as a young baby, maybe almost 1. It was hot. We did not have a tent to block the sun. Big mistake. We lasted all of twenty minutes and headed home. That day I began researching and watching other families to see what types of cool gadgets they brought with them to the beach to make everyone’s lives easier and have a fun day.

Over the years I have acquired different items, some that have worked wonders and others not so much. Now I feel as though I pretty much have it down to a science as to what we need for a fun day.

Here are some of my beach day essentials! Hope you enjoy!

This open air tent is awesome! It sets up in less than a minute and I can do it alone. It provides a cool shady space for the kids to play and rest. Def a must!!

This little speaker has big sound! Plus it is waterproof and kid proof! Fits in the palm of your hand.

I really love this beach mat. It packs up very small and is easy to set up and sand brushed right off. We use this in the park and yard as well.

If you have an infant or young toddler, this is key! Its a great place for nap time or to have a safe place to set them down to play!

This is the BEST cooler ever! It keeps our food and drinks cold ALL Day! This backpack version is also great for keeping your hands free!

Loving this new beach bag! Super stylish to hold all your beach stuff!

Love these easy summer sandals. Waterproof and great for the beach or pool! Plus under $50!
